The next AFN conference will take place at La Trobe University, in Bundoora / Wurundjeri Country, Melbourne, Australia from Monday 26 to Wednesday 28th of November 2018.
How can we as facilitators be wise and present in the groups we facilitate? This workshop is for facilitators who are willing to explore and grapple with accessing the transformative nature of presence.
Drawing on Christopher M. Bache’s The Living Classroom; Peter Senge et al.’s Presence; Dean Radin’s Entangled Mind; the work of Zenergy; and other sources including our own experiences – face-to-face and online, we will explore and access individual, peer and whole group wisdom and presence. This will include experimenting with saying ‘Yes’ to the present moment, in whatever way it arises.
Creativity & Music workshops are all about group expression through sound. Participants explore a range of activities to encourage an atmosphere of relaxation, adventure and friendship. We will be stretching, warming up, singing, creating rhythms, getting our groove on, listening, discovering and sharing song.

“The most important work for any facilitator is developing one’s own capacity to be and become an embodied, grounded, self-aware and self-reflecting person – to facilitate self” Dr Dale Hunter et al: The Art of Facilitation.
This workshop will introduce participants into the ways of being and the skills needed to facilitate group and team processes. The programme will be experiential and full of practical tools that facilitators can experience, learn, embody and take home with them.
